Rough day
Today was a rough day for you. You accidentally hurt Emme and then you tripped Kate, made her fall, and cry a lot! Your response to both of those was a bit odd. I think with Emme you felt bad, but you weren't sure how to express your concern. With Kate, you tripped her on purpose but then just sat there when she started crying. I remember hoping that you hadn't tripped her, but had a feeling you did. You two had been picking on each other a lot today and that was the icing on the cake. Again your response was a bit odd. You just sat there. I think you were afraid you were going to get in trouble, but what I would've rather seen was you jumping up and apologizing to mate profusely instead of sitting there in silence. I hope you learned something from today. I love you so much and want you to be a caring, sympathetic person. I know that when you are not worried about getting in trouble you can be caring and sympathetic like when Emme hurt my nose. You came in and checked on me and gave me a hug. That meant so much to me. Tomorrow you will be better because you learned from today! Love you my big girl!

Enjoying Your Company
The other day Daddy and I went to check out the house and this was the first time you stayed home. You had a headache and were tired. You asked me if I would be upset and I said no, but then I change my mind and said yes a little, Gaga was confused as to why I would be upset with you for that. I had to clarify that I wasn't upset, just disappointed because I like spending time with you. I've really enjoyed our walks and our car rides to and from volleyball (even though now you get upset when I turn down the music to talk to you!). You are becoming a really great person and I hope our relationship just continues getting better everyday. Don't get me wrong, there are times I have to remind you that I am the mom, but your normally do what you're supposed to do so I don't have to do that too often. Alright, I better get back to work. I love you Maddie!
Positive Affirmations
So, I bought you a journal to start writing down positive thoughts for yourself. Of course you think it is a ridiculous idea, but I know it will help you in the long run if you just do it! Positive affirmations have been proven to help change negative self talk so I really want you to do this! You are pretty hard on yourself sometimes (calling yourself stupid, and say you're not so smart, etc.). I really don't like when you do that because you are anything but those things). Hopefully you jump on board soon and I don't have to threaten to take away your phone if you don't do it!

A Blog Just for You
My Madels. I love you so much!
I used to keep up with a blog to keep the family up to date on the things we've been doing and I'm doing a pretty bad job at it. You guys keep me so busy that I hardly have time for anything else! One thing I've always regretted was not keeping much of a baby book for you. I feel like the first 12 years of your life I haven't written anything down. :/ When you have a baby you have to do better! So, I decided to keep a blog dedicated to each of you and that way I can write things down here.
Right now you are sooooooo into volleyball and you are pretty good at it, too! I love to watch you play. We just got home from San Antonio last weekend where your team went 5-1. You guys did great. You are not doing much setting right now, but you are killing it as a right side hitter. You are by far the most consistent hitter on your team. You are constantly getting compliments from other parents. :)
I'm looking forward to this blog and I will keep up with it. I know it is something you will enjoy looking back on as you get older (or at least I hope it is).
I love you sweet girl!
Love,
Mom
